We defend individuals in criminal proceedings for offences against persons, property, public-office, economic, sexual and environmental offences, among others.

We represent victims as private prosecutors in cases of property, sexual and violent offences and criminal negligence, among others.

We advise companies on preventing and managing their criminal matters. We represent them as victims, using technology to streamline criminal complaints, and defend them against charges under Law No. 20,393 on the criminal liability of legal entities.

We advise public bodies, public-private foundations and companies subject to sector regulation, with experience in public procurement, mining and water, among other sectors.

We prepare independent legal reports and opinions on criminal, administrative and regulatory matters, for clients and for other lawyers.

Talks and advice for companies, schools, foundations, municipalities and public bodies on criminal law, compliance, crime prevention and regulation, tailored to each organisation.

We design, implement and assess crime-prevention models: risk analysis, policies and protocols, internal investigations and team training.

EDUCATION: LL.M. in Legal Theory, Johann Wolfgang Goethe Universität, Frankfurt am Main (2018–2020), with a thesis on criminal law theory awarded the highest distinction. Diploma in Economic Criminal Law and Diploma in Current Issues in Criminal Law, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Law degree, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile; admitted to the bar (2012).
EXPERIENCE: Significant experience as defence counsel in highly complex cases, acting in trials for offences by public officials, property offences, sexual offences and violent crimes. Before founding the firm he was a partner at Contreras & Cía. and a senior associate in the Criminal Law group at Philippi, Prietocarrizosa, Ferrero DU & Uría, advising individuals and companies charged with or victims of economic, tax and public-official offences, as well as on compliance and crime prevention.
TEACHING AND PUBLICATIONS: Professor of Criminal Law at Universidad de Santiago de Chile, teaching the undergraduate General Part and Special Part I–IV courses. Author of articles on the principle of legality and blank criminal statutes, and on the elements of the offence of fraud.

EDUCATION: LL.M., Johann Wolfgang Goethe Universität, Frankfurt am Main (2018–2020). Diploma in Water Management and Regulation, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2017). Law degree, Universidad de Chile (2007–2015), graduated with distinction; admitted to the bar (2014).
EXPERIENCE: In-house counsel at SBX Consultores, a mining consultancy, and external counsel to the Fundación Parque Astronómico Atacama. At Fundación Imagen de Chile / Marca Chile she was Deputy Legal Director, Chief of Staff and in-house counsel, in charge of internal legal affairs, board coordination and public-private management. Previously a Senior Associate in the Public Law practice at Philippi, Prietocarrizosa, Ferrero DU & Uría, with experience in administrative law and public procurement, constitutional, mining, water, real estate and urban planning law, as well as sanitation, electricity and maritime regulation.
TEACHING AND PUBLICATIONS: Teaching assistant in Public Procurement at Universidad Diego Portales and in the Public Law LL.M. at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and in Procedural Law at Universidad de Chile.

EDUCATION: Admitted to the bar in 2026. Law degree, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2022–2025), with a specialisation certificate in Criminal Law, awarded with two votes of distinction. Diploma in Advanced Procedural Law and Criminal Litigation, and a specialisation course on violations of children’s and adolescents’ rights in the criminal and family justice systems. Bachelor of Social Sciences with majors in Law and Chilean History.
EXPERIENCE: Assistant lawyer in the criminal practice of the UC Legal Clinic, handling guardianships for persons not criminally liable and attending criminal hearings. Trainee at the Supreme Court and Constitutional Court Unit of the Public Criminal Defender’s Office, and criminal-law intern at the Protection, Legislation and Justice Unit of the National Human Rights Institute. Previously a criminal-law intern at Kehr Abuid Abogados, an intern at the Management Control Unit of the State Defence Council, and a law clerk in criminal and civil matters.
